1)Why is it important to map the location of the ants?
Its important to map the location of the ants because mapping the location would help us find where exactly the mound is, for the next time we go back and see the mound and can actually know its location.

2)Given what you've seen of the ants, what factors maybe interesting to study?
Some interesting factors that we may need to study could be to determine how far the ants travel or how they travel from one place to their mound. Also, how they gather food or cope when the hill is damaged.

3)What characteristics of the mounds did you notice as you recorded their location?
That they will come out of their mound according to the time of the day or the weather and various different temperatures. Due to the cold weather, my hypothesis was that they were inside their mound, and that they would normal come out and that there would be more activity in warmer temperatures.
