1) some of the biotic factors surrounding the ant colony Q was the ants, living trees and plants, other insects,the birds and other wildlife around. Some abiotic Factors around is the dirt, dead tree logs and other non living things abut that was mostly around.

2). Most ant species are omnivorous and eat seeds, nectar, and other invertebrates. Army ants are carnivorous, they hunt, kill and eat prey such as worms, spiders and even sometimes small vertebrates like lizards. I would expect the ant energy to come from them, to help them continue their days work. 

3)i would expect to measure next how they gather their food and possibly have a full days surveillance on the ant hill to get a better understanding of how it work.
